Djatougbe Akouvi Aziaka is a remarkable figure in the field of environmental diplomacy and journalism. As the President and Founder of Welfare Togo, she has made significant contributions to international relations, particularly concerning environmental issues. With over a decade of experience, she has a strong background in both national and international press organizations, specializing in sustainable development and Civic Tech.
Djatougbe leadership roles within the United Nations framework, such as her election as Africa Representative in the Civil Society Panel for the UNCCD (term 2018-2019) and her co-facilitation of the UNEP Accredited NGO Major Group (2terms : 2021-2023 and 2023-2025), demonstrate her commitment to advancing the African and global civil society agenda. Djatougbe’s participation in high-level international meetings and negotiations underscores her expertise and influence in shaping environmental policies. Her passion for ecology and dedication to promoting sustainable practices make her a key player in the ongoing dialogue surrounding environmental protection and sustainable development. She is a Member of the Intergovernmental and Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group (IMAG) of the seventh edition of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO7) mandated by UNEP-UNEA5 through resolution 5/3.

Djatougbe Aziaka is the Founding Director of the media company Eco Conscience TV, a Togolese environmental thematic web TV which aims to raise awareness on environmental and sustainable development issues, through in-depth programs, reports, investigations, interviews, Civic Tech but also to offer specialization to Togolese and African journalists passionate about audiovisual and the environment.
Awarded to the CIVIC TECH CONNEXION CITOYENNE 2 program of the French Media Development Agency (CFI) in Paris 2021, with the DUMEVI Citizen Participation project in support of Decentralization in Togo, led by ECO CONSCIENCE TV, with support of the French Development Agency (AFD), she developed the first Civic Tech platform with a mobile app in Togo for promotion of environment and local Sustainable development.
She is Holder of a professional Bachelor degree in journalism, the French Professional Diploma, International Relations (C1), CCI Paris Ile-de-France, and graduated from the Global Change leaders Certificate 2019 program at Coady International Institute, St Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, in Canada. Also laureate of MANDELA WASHINGTON FELLOWSHIP 2018, initiated by Barack Obama, and studied the Business and Entrepreneurship stream at Drake University in the State of IOWA in the USA.
